22nd August 2026: Arriving at Spa, the weekend started steadily. Practice was mostly about getting Louis and me comfortable with a track that changes on you every session, and by the end of running we both had a car we trusted. Nothing that stood out as of yet, but the feeling in the car was getting there, and at this circuit that counts for more than one quick lap in the dry.

Qualifying is where it came together. The track was damp and moving around the whole fifteen minutes, so it was a session about committing at the right moment, knowing that the final lap would likely be the fastest. I got the lap in at the flag, a 2m23.319, and it was over two seconds clear of the next car. That’s the biggest pole margin in Le Mans Cup history, which in those conditions, is something I can be really proud of. It’s also the second pole of the year for us, after Louis took the first at Le Castellet.

Louis took the start and got us away cleanly, leading into Les Combes on the first lap. Morano had a go at him in the #29 straight away, went across the run-off and had to give the place back. From there Louis didn’t have much to do. He kept it clean, out of trouble with us at the front while the race behind us started falling apart. For the entirety of the next 45 minutes of his stint, there was only 1 full green flag lap, the rest being spent either under FCY or safety car, meaning we managed to keep our place ready for my stint.

After seven interruptions in two hours, five safety cars and two full course yellows, with barely a run of green laps in the first half, we pitted under the FCY around the fifty minute mark and I got in. When it finally went green again with 39 minutes left, the restart didn’t quite go our way. The R-Ace and the Campos both didn’t do full tyres changes and managed to maintain the heat in the tyres better. They got a run on me into Turn 1, passed by Peugeot, then Rogeon got past shortly after in Turn 5. After that it was about holding what we had and keeping the car in one piece through the rest of the neutralisations, which at Spa is a job on its own.

12th June 2026: Arriving at Le Mans, the weekend began in exactly the way we wanted. Across every practice session, Louis and I were right in the mix at the sharp end, consistently inside the top five and never far from the ultimate pace. The car was working underneath both of us and the lap times were coming easily rather than being forced. By the end of running, it was clear we had a package capable of fighting near the front.

The plan for qualifying was a split session. Louis would go out first and set the initial marker, before I took over for the second stint with lower fuel and a fresh set of tyres, which should have given us the perfect platform to bank a strong lap. Unfortunately, we never got that far. Louis crashed during his run, and with the car damaged, my stint disappeared before it had begun. Instead of lining up at the front where our practice pace deserved, we were left facing the race from 22nd on the grid.

I took the start with a lot of work ahead of me. 22nd in a field this competitive gives you nowhere to hide, but the pace we’d shown all weekend was still there, and I set about using it. Lap after lap I picked my way forward, staying patient where I needed to be and taking the opportunities when they came. By the end of my stint I had brought the car all the way up to 6th, and we were firmly back in the fight.

Then the weekend turned on something entirely outside our control. The safety car was deployed at the worst possible moment for us, coming out just as we had completed our pitstop. The field ahead was neutralised while we were still just coming out, and by the time everything settled we found ourselves a couple of minutes adrift of where we’d been. All the ground I’d made up in that first stint was wiped out in an instant, and the recovery drive we’d worked so hard to build simply had nowhere left to go.

We took the flag in eleventh. It’s a result that bears no relation to the speed we had all weekend, and that’s the frustrating part. Between the qualifying crash and the safety car timing, we were never given a clean run at showing what the car was capable of. Another weekend that promised so much and wasn’t meant to be. The pace is there, and at some point the luck has to turn with it.

2nd May 2026: Arriving at Paul Ricard, the signs were there from the very first session. Both Louis and I were consistently inside the top three across every practice run, and the car felt genuinely quick underneath both of us. After the frustration of Barcelona, it was exactly the kind of start we needed. By the time practice was done, there was no doubt within the team: we had the pace to be fighting at the front all weekend.

With it being Louis’ home race, he took on qualifying duties, and he delivered brilliantly. A composed, committed lap put us on pole position, capping off a session that reflected everything the car had shown across practice. Starting from the front in a field this competitive is no small thing, and it set us up perfectly for what should have been our weekend.

I took the start, but things went against us almost immediately. A jump start from the outside line dropped me down to third, and shortly afterwards I was hit from behind. At the time I thought nothing of it and simply got on with the job. I put my head down, fought my way back through to the lead, and from there began to stretch clear, building what turned into a superb ten-second advantage over the field.

Then came the news that threw out a lot of the hardwork that had been done. Towards the end of my stint, I was informed that the contact earlier in the race had damaged the rear wedge, and it would need repairing at the pitstop. That cost us an additional fifty seconds stationary in the pitlane, an eternity in a race this closely fought, and wiped out every bit of the lead I’d worked to build. Louis rejoined the circuit down in sixteenth place.

What followed was a seriously impressive recovery drive from Louis, hauling the car all the way back up to fourth by the flag. In isolation that’s a strong result, and it says a lot about his pace and composure under pressure. But it’s difficult to take much satisfaction from it. We had the speed, we had pole, we had a ten-second lead, a win was the only outcome the weekend deserved. We move on to the next round knowing the performance is there.

11th April 2026: A new season, a new chapter. After a championship-winning year with ANS Motorsport, I’m delighted to be continuing with the team for 2026 — this time stepping up into the Michelin Le Mans Cup and into LMP3 machinery. It’s a significant move for my career, and one I’ve been working toward for a long time. Bigger cars, a more competitive field, and a championship that sits firmly on the road toward where I ultimately want to be.

Alongside the step up, I’ve also joined the CLX Motorsport Academy. It’s a huge opportunity and one I’m enormously grateful for, with the aim of progressing into LMP2 for 2027. Being brought into a programme like this is a real display of belief from people within the paddock, and that isn’t something I take lightly. I’m sharing the car for the full season with fellow CLX academy member Louis Iglesias, and I’m looking forward to building that partnership across the year.

The opening round took us to Barcelona, and the early signs were genuinely encouraging. Our pace through the practice sessions was strong, and the car felt good underneath me. Qualifying, though, didn’t reflect that. An unlucky break with where we found ourselves on track meant I couldn’t put a clean lap together when it counted, and we ended up eleventh on the grid, well short of what the weekend had promised up to that point.

I took the start, and the race unravelled almost immediately. There was an unavoidable crash at the very start, and although we were able to keep going, we’d picked up significant damage to the front of the car. That forced us into the pits for repairs, and from there both Louis and I spent the remainder of the race a lap down, with any realistic result gone before we’d properly begun.

It’s a frustrating way to open a campaign, particularly having shown such competitive pace in practice. But it’s one round of many, and the underlying speed we found in Barcelona is what I’ll take away from the weekend rather than the result. There’s a long season ahead, a new car to keep learning, and a new team-mate to build with. We’ll regroup and come back stronger at the next round.

16-17th October 2025: Arriving at Portimão for the final round of the 2025 Ligier European Series, the stage was set for an all-or-nothing showdown. Nine points separated us from championship leader Romain Boeckler, but with momentum on our side and a season of hard work behind us, belief within the ANS team was stronger than ever.

Qualifying proved intense from the outset. Iko delivered a composed lap to secure P3 in his session, while in mine, I was on course for the fastest time before being blocked in the final sector—forcing us to settle for P3 once again. It wasn’t the perfect start, but with both cars ahead in striking distance, we knew the fight was far from over.

Race 1 got underway under clear skies, and from third on the grid, I managed to muscle my way into second place by Turn 3. Championship leader Boeckler had opened up a two-second gap, but lap by lap, I reeled him in. Midway through the stint, I found my opportunity, made the move for the lead, and began to pull clear, opening up a 3.7-second cushion before handing the car to Iko. He drove a strong stint, but Boeckler’s late-race pace proved too strong, and he managed to retake the lead before the flag. We finished second—still very much in the hunt, but the title gap had grown. Everything would come down to the final race.

Race 2 carried the weight of the entire season. Iko took the start once more and held firm in third throughout his stint, managing the tyres and keeping us right where we needed to be. When I took over, I knew exactly what was required. With clear pace and determination, I began carving my way forward, passing both cars ahead and building an eight-second lead by the chequered flag. Behind us, drama struck as Boeckler hit trouble and was forced to retire, sealing an unforgettable championship victory for us and ANS!

It’s an incredible feeling to be crowned Ligier European Series Champions. Massive thanks go to everyone at ANS, my teammate Iko Segret, and all of my sponsors and supporters who made this season possible. We fought hard all year, and to end it on top is something truly special.

Now, with the title secured, I couldn’t be more excited for what comes next—the next chapter of my racing journey begins here.

12–13th September 2025: Arriving at Silverstone for the next round of the 2025 Ligier European Series, we came in with a point to prove. Spa had been a bruising weekend for the team, and the championship lead we’d worked so hard to build had taken a knock. But with a circuit we knew well ahead of us and a car we believed in, the mood within ANS was one of quiet determination. This was the weekend to fight back.

Qualifying set the tone early. I put together a strong lap to secure second place in my session, giving us real track position to work with come race day. Iko’s session proved trickier, and he ended up seventh, leaving us with work to do across the weekend. Split grid slots are always a challenge in this format, but with one race starting near the front, we knew there was a platform to build something from.

Race 1 got underway with me behind the wheel. The top three broke away almost immediately, opening a gap of around ten seconds to the chasing pack, and I made sure we were part of that lead group rather than watching it disappear. I handed the car over to Iko in a strong position. He drove a committed stint, but the pace wasn’t quite there to hold onto the two ahead, and we slipped back slightly. Even so, third place was a solid return.

Race 2 was where the weekend took a turn but showed why we are at the sharp end of the championship. Iko took the start, but contact at Brooklands dropped us all the way down to fourteenth, exactly the kind of setback you can’t afford in a title fight. He put his head down and recovered to tenth, before handing the car to me. From there I pushed hard, carving my way back up to fourth and closing right onto the back of the leading three. Then the rain arrived, and the race was red-flagged before we could finish the job.

It was a weekend of damage limitation more than celebration. We left Silverstone no longer leading the championship, and there’s no dressing that up, but we also left with two results in the bag and a car that still had genuine pace when it mattered. The title fight is far from over. With the final round at Portimão to come, everything would be decided there, and we’d be arriving with nothing to lose.

22-23rd September 2025: Arriving at Spa-Francorchamps, one of the most iconic and demanding circuits in the world – we came into round four of the Ligier European Series leading the championship. Confidence was high, and with strong momentum behind us, the goal was simple: extend our lead and keep the pressure on our rivals.

Qualifying, however, didn’t unfold as we’d hoped. On Saturday morning, Iko managed to put in a solid lap to secure P3 on the grid. My qualifying session, on the other hand, was cut short when heavy rain caused a red flag before I could put together a representative lap. With no chance to go again, my starting slot was also set at P3, based on my pace from Free Practice 2. Not the ideal outcome, but still a strong position to fight from.

Race one saw Iko take the start on a drying but still very tricky circuit. He got off to a great launch and quickly moved up into second place, right on the heels of the leader. But Spa can be unforgiving, and unfortunately, it caught us out. While pushing through Eau Rouge, Iko made a small mistake, which ended in a heavy crash at Raidillon. It was a tough blow, as the race was over before I even had the chance to drive. The team worked tirelessly to get the car patched up, but unseen damage to the steering was going to make it a real handful to drive in Race 2 on Sunday.

Determined to bounce back, we went into Sunday’s second race with everything still to fight for. I took the start but was immediately caught up in contact at Turn 1, spun around, and dropped to the back of the field. Despite the difficulties, and further damage to the car, I pushed hard, and we fought our way back into the top ten. Unfortunately, a lock-up caused by the steering issues sent me into the gravel, costing us another lap and dropping us out of contention.

8th June 2025: Coming into the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe – home of the 24 Hours of Le Mans – Iko and I arrived with a healthy lead in the Ligier European Series championship. Momentum was on our side after strong results in Barcelona and Paul Ricard, and we were confident of carrying that form into one of the most iconic tracks in motorsport.

Qualifying didn’t quite go to plan, despite the pace clearly being there for pole position. My first flying lap, good enough for provisional pole, was unfairly deleted due to track limits. Then, on my final push lap, a yellow flag forced me to back off just when everything was coming together. In the end, we had to settle for P3 on the grid – not ideal, but still well in the mix.

Unlike the usual double-header format, Le Mans hosts just one 60-minute race, so everything was riding on this single race. At the start, an intense five-car battle for the lead took place, with all of us swapping positions and trading moves in the opening laps. Eventually, the field started to settle, and Romain Boeckler and I managed to break away from the pack and form a leading duo.

Right at the end of my 30-minute stint, I found a way past Romain to take the lead before diving into the pits. Unfortunately, a small issue during the stop meant that when Iko rejoined, and Romain had done his stop a few laps later, Iko was six seconds behind. But then came a twist – Romain was handed a five-second penalty for cutting the track, which changed the strategy completely. All Iko had to do was close the gap and stay within five seconds.

He did exactly that, reeling in the #22 lap after lap. When he got within striking distance, we made the call to hold position, as risking a move could have jeopardised everything. We crossed the line in second but with the penalty applied, were initially awarded the win. It felt like another hard-fought and well-earned victory.

However, in the evening, the stewards reviewed the situation and overturned Romain’s penalty, giving him back the race win. Naturally, there was disappointment, but ultimately, we still finished second and, most importantly, we leave Le Mans maintaining our championship lead.

Now, we reset, recharge, and get ready for the next big challenge – Spa-Francorchamps in August.

2-3rd May 2025: Barcelona saw myself and ANS Motorsport teammate Iko Segret get off to a flying start, with first and second places vaulting us to the top of the Ligier European Series standings. One month later, the title challenge continued at Circuit Paul Ricard, and on Saturday afternoon, we celebrated a repeat result with another hard-earned victory and a second position.

Qualifying set the two Saturday races up nicely. First, Iko put in a great lap to claim pole position for the morning race, and then I went two-tenths quicker on my run, but on this occasion, I had to be initially content with second. However, a fuel irregularity penalty for the #1 entry ultimately gave me the P1 slot, which boded well for the two 60-minute races ahead.

It all went to plan in race one, with Iko leading away from the pole. The cooler, overcast conditions didn’t change the ultimate pace of the #6 JS P4, with Iko pulling a four-second advantage ahead of a Safety Car mid-race. I jumped aboard and, despite some initial pressure from Josh Steed, was soon able to stamp my authority on proceedings. We took the 25 points, the fastest race lap and the chequered flag, eight seconds clear of the field.

With one in the bag, I lined up on the pole for the afternoon race and duly led the field into the first turn. Pressure mounted from the #22 of Romain Boeckler, with the French driver making the pass at the chicane on the second lap. Undeterred, I kept the pressure on, keeping the #6 less than a second behind the new race leader throughout my stint.

Iko took over with 30 minutes remaining, but a spin on his out lap cost him valuable time and dropped him behind the #60 entry and into third. Unfortunately, the #60 was only ahead due to a shorter-than-mandated pit stop, and it took a few laps to regain the position.

By this point, the #22 was ten seconds up the road, and the race for victory was all but over. An intense final lap battling for position followed, with Iko taking the runner-up position, maintaining our 100 percent run of podiums so far in 2025.

The victory and second position, a replication of the Barcelona heats, gives us 86 out of a possible 100 points so far in the Ligier European Series and, most importantly, a healthy gap at the head of the championship standings. With momentum very much on my side, it’s another French heat next month, this time at Circuit de la Sarthe!
